About the Chapter
The Mid-Atlantic Chapter's primary purpose is to serve the community through outreach of scholarship, education, professional development, and networking. The purpose is accomplished through awarding scholarships to local high school students who are pursuing a STEM career field in support of national defense and national security. The chapter supports philanthropy needs in the area of responsibility to include Harford Community College, Harford and Cecil County Public Schools, Harford County Public Library, Cecil College, Harford County Boys and Girls Club, Habitat For Humanity, Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, and Harford County Women of Tomorrow.
The Mid-Atlantic Chapter conducts programs to connect and increase our visibility in our respective communities, raise funds to advance o ur communities educationally, award scholarships, and encourage membership participation. On average, the chapter hosts eight annual events designed to increase the awareness of women in leadership positions, encourage STEM education for youth, mentor young leaders, and link the network of women leaders.
