WID Mid-Atlantic Chapter
The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of Women In Defense (WID) serves professionals working in the Chesapeake Science and Security Corridor in Maryland. WID is an affiliate of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) and was founded to cultivate and support the professional growth of women through networking, education, and career development. WID members include members of the military, civilian employees and contractors, and membership is open to both women and men.

In addition to supporting the professional development needs of women, the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of WID also awards scholarships to local high school and college students who are pursuing higher education that would lead to a career in national defense and national security.
